Launch of Regional Status Reports on Drowning Prevention in the Western Pacific and South-East Asia Regions, 22 July 2021

Please see below an invitation for the on-line launch of the first WHO Regional Status Reports on Drowning Prevention for the Western Pacific and South-East Asia Regions. These reports will provide a situation assessment of drowning prevention data, policy and programmes for more than 55 nations in our regions. The data collection process has been conducted in consultation with Governments across the region, and many ILS members have contributed to this process. These reports have been developed with funding support from RNLI. The process was outlined at past meetings, including at WCDP2019.

The reports will be launched on zoom on Thursday 22nd July 2021 at 12:00 Manila time, 9:30 Delhi time. All are welcome to attend.

World Drowning Prevention Day 25th July 2021

Following the UN Resolution on Global Drowning Prevention, we will all celebrate World Drowning Prevention Day on July 25 July 2021.

To assist you in planning your activities we wish to advise you of a range of activities and resources.
